The Nazi authorities in Poland are preparing to confiscate all overcoats belonging to Jews and Poles according to information reaching Polish circles here. Lists of overcoats owned by Jews and Poles, which in some cases are their last possessions of any value, have already been compiled, the report states, and actual confiscation only awaits orders from the Nazi officials in charge.
It was also reported that the Nazi “winter relief” campaign will soon be launched in Poland. Although contributions will have to be made by all sections of the population, Jews and Poles will be banned from receiving any benefits from the “winter relief” and only the Germans will benefit.
