The statement that “the days of British supervision in Egypt are numberous as contained in an article in Der Angriff, organ of the Propaganda Ministry, which comments jubilantly on Great Britain’s plan to establish a legislative council in Palestine in the face of Jewish disapproval.
“The British Government,” the article declares, “knows very well what she is doing. Because the days of British supervision in Egypt are numbered, it is imperative for Britain to strengthen its position in Palestine. For this she needs the good-will of the Arabs more than of the Jews.”
The article concludes with the comment that “Jewish plans in Palestine at the present time are further from being carried out than ever before.”
