Nazi occupation authorities in Holland have issued an order forbidding any person from entering the homes of Jews who have been deported or sent to concentration camps, unless permission is first secured from a German official, it was learned today by Dutch circles here.
The order is interpreted here as an attempt by the Nazis to prevent Dutch patriots from removing the valuables of the deported Jews for safekeeping until such time as the country will again be free.
At the same time, the Germans warned that Dutchmen are forbidden to congregate in front of the building which housed the offices of the Jewish Council in Amsterdam. This follows other orders aimed at preventing Dutch Christians from demonstrating their opposition to the anti-Jewish measures. Scores of Christians have been arrested in recent months for interfering with the round-up and deportation of Jews.
