Numerous Wilno Jewish families have received letters from their husbands and sons transferred from German military prison campsite to the Lublin Jewish “reservation” who ask their relatives to apply for their return under terms of the Lithuanian-German agreement regarding release of persons holding or entitled to Lithuanian citizenship. The Germans were reported to have started wholesale release of Polish war prisoners from the camps, but while “Aryans” were permitted to return to their homes, Jews were being sent to Lublin.
