Some 400,000 Jews in Nazi occupied Poland will be utilized as qualified workers in special workshops which the Nazi authorities plan to establish in the ghettoes throughout Poland to produce equipment for the German army as well as other essential war products, the #### one of the leading German newspapers, announced today.
The workshops in the ghettos will be managed by Nazi commissars, the announcement states. The Berlin correspondent of the Svanaka Daghladet, a Swedish newspaper, in transmitting the announcement adds that the Nazi had to use Jewish skilled labor is due not only to the acute shortage of “Aryan” workers in the Reich, but also to the fact that the Nazis here discovered that the Jewish artisans in Poland are highly qualified.
