Only Jews are being used as clean-up squads in captured Russian towns, directly behind the front lines, it was announced today on a German radio broadcast. Describing reorganization measures behind the front lines the broadcast disclosed that the Nazi army had established a special office which followed in the wake of the advancing army.
When Army Headquarters expects the imminent fall of a town this special office is instructed to proceed there to start cleaning up work. Generally, only Jews in the town are used for this work, which consists of cleaning buildings, removing barricades, corpses and carcasses of dead horses, the German radio stated.
