“Instead of keeping the readers of the Jewish community paper in that state of discreet humbleness which would be proper for them as the uninvited guests of the German people, the editor Neulaender published a cynical article in which he tried to be ironical about the Westdeutscher Beobachter and its work of enlightening the Rhine-land population about the National Socialist race feeling,” the Nazi paper stated.
