The Palestine and Near East Exhibition and Fair, which was opened here for several weeks, was closed last night.
Two hundred thousand persons visited the exhibition grounds and goods in the amount of £40,000 were sold, 300 firms participating in the exhibit, according to a summarizing report of Mayor Dizengoff.
H. C. Luke, Civil Secretary of the Palestine government, in an address he delivered at the closing ceremonies, declared that a most advanced country would be proud of the products shown at this exhibition. The exhibition demonstrated the progress of Palestine industry, he said.
