That there is a crying need for a new type of Jewish theatre appealing to the Americanized Jewish public was the contention of Sidney H. Reiss, who spoke last night over Station WBNX under the auspices of the Young People’s League of the United Synagogue of America.
“There are American Jewish newspapers, magazines, books, institutions, actors and actresses. Why not the American Jewish theatre?” the speaker asked.
