Members of the Negro Hamilton Square Baptist Church here contributed a substantial sum of money to the local Jewish Welfare Fund. The pastor, Dr. E. Franklin Hamby, wrote officials of the Fund:
“At a meeting yesterday for both Jewish and Christian people which we held at the Hamilton Square Baptist Church, a free-will offering was taken for Jewish relief which I am sending to your office. A Palestine Jewish film was shown and a Bible message was given.”
