Nehru Bows to Nasser on Israel; Endorses Bandung Anti-israel Line

India’s Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru has agreed with United Arab Republic President Gamal Abdel Nasser that the solution of Israeli-Arab tensions must be in line with the anti-Israeli resolution adopted at Bandung, Indonesia by the Afro-Asian conference held there in April, 1955, it was officially announced here today. The announcement came in the form of a Joint communique issued by Nehru and Nasser.

(At the United Nations this weekend, Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold conceded openly or the first time that Egypt’s confiscation of Israeli cargo, shipped through the Suez Canal “goes against” the principles of the United Nations.)
