The neo-Nazi National Democratic Party is not welcome in West Berlin.
The Allied military commanders have banned the NPD from participating in the January 1989 elections for the town parliament. The NPD was not permitted to hold its convention in West Berlin or any other gatherings.
This was in line with longstanding Allied policy to prohibit any neo-Nazi activities in West Berlin.
