Slight gains were recorded by the Deutsche Partei, a neo-Nazi group, in yesterday’s State Legislature elections in Lower Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate, according to final results tabulated today.
The Deutsche Partei’s official organ has frequently published anti-Jewish and anti-Israel articles. During the election campaign, it was noted, there seemed to be no anti-Semitic speeches. However, pro-Arab sentiments were expressed during the campaign by a number of the Deutsche Partei candidates.
