Netherlands Government officials today told Israel Minister Dr. A. Amir that the Dutch people greatly appreciate the gifts of citrus products, clothing and blankets which have already arrived here from Israel for Dutch flood victims. Dr. Amir assured the Dutch officials that Israel stands ready to help in any way it can.

(A shipment of clothing and blankets left Israel by plane yesterday for Holland to be used for Dutch flood victims. Included in the consignment were 10,000 pieces of warm clothing donated by the Jewish Agency and a larger number of blankets contributed by the Mogen Dovid Adorn, Israel’s equivalent of the Red Cross. El Al, Israel’s national airline, flew the relief cargo free of charge.)

A preliminary survey by the JTA established that few Netherlands Jews had been reported casualties of the floods. Jews throughout the country were participating in the all-important job of rescue and relief for the victims.
