A rash of posters signed by the “Committee for the Defense of Orthodox Jews” and the “Neturei Karta” have appeared in London streets during the past few days. The placards call for the assistance of the Jews of the world against the Israel authorities who, the Neturei Karta posters say, are blocking the campaign of Orthodox elements in Israel to prevent “desecration of the Sabbath.”
Many of the posters have been placed in neighborhoods where few Jews live, and their violent attacks on the Israel authorities have caused concern in Jewish circles here. The placards also urge Jews to withhold funds from Zionist causes.
