“The Jewish Guardian” is the name of a new Anglo-Jewish weekly published in New York, which made its appearance with its first issue on Friday. The weekly is dedicated to the propagation of Orthodox Judaism.

Theodore N. Kaufman is president of the publishing company. Rabbi I. L. Bril is managing editor.

Jewish inmates at the New York State Reformatory at Elmira, N. Y., will each receive five pounds of matzoth for the coming Pass-over, Rabbi Henry P. Silverman, rabbi of Temple B’nai Israel of Elmira and Jewish chaplain at the Reformatory, stated.

The matzoth will be provided by the Jewish Board of Guardians of New York City. The Brotherhood and Sisterhood of the Temple B’nai Israel and the local chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women will provide fruit and cake for Seder night.
