Demonstrations in Jassy, Roumania, by anti-Semitic students, followers of Alexander Cuza, have assumed a threatening character, according to a despatch from Bucharest of the Hungarian new agency.
The excesses were particularly violent in the Flondstrasse, where traffic was interrupted for a half hour due to the riots. The anti-Semitic students launched attacks in the Jewish quarter and mistreated Jewish passengers on the street cars until a strong detachment of the police came to the assistance of the Jews. Order was re-established.
