Though a member of the Christian Social Party, aligned with the anti-Semitic camp, Wilhelm Miklas, the newly elected President of the Austrian Republic, has in no way an anti-Semitic record, it is stated here on good authority. It is recalled that as a member of parliament President Miklas often negotiated and cooperated with the praesidium of the Vienna Kehillah on Austrian Jewish questions.
