Israeli border units and a force of Jordanian irregulars fought another two-hour pitched battle today at a point south of Hebron and four and one-half miles inside Israel. The Arabs withdrew, leaving six dead on the battlefield.
The spokesman revealed that an Israeli car was ambushed by Arabs north of Beersheba today, but the raiders were driven off with one killed while the Israelis suffered no casualties.
