A new Catholic secondary school was opened in Nazareth today at a ceremony in which top Israeli officials and Catholic leaders participated. Dr.Kalman Kahane, director general of the Ministry of Religion, unveiled a mosaic portrait of Jesus whfle Dr. M. Avidar,director general of the Education Ministry, cut the ribbon across the doors of St. Joseph School.
The institution, which comes under the jurisdiction of Archbishop Hakim of Nazareth will provide boarding facilities for 95 boys and educational facilities for 160. The funds for the school were subscribed by Catholic communities in France, Belgium and West Germany.
