A NUMBER OF JEWS WERE INJURED TODAY IN DISORDERS IN WARSAW, KIELCE AND OTHER LOCALITIES.
MEMBERS OF THE YOUTH SECTION OF COL. ADAM KOC’S CAMP FOR NATIONAL UNITY BROKE WINDOWS OF JEWISH BOOKSHOPS IN THE CAPITAL. THE ARREST OF SEVERAL YOUTHS REVEALED THEY ARE STUDENT LEADERS OF COL. KOC’S MOVEMENT FOR AN AUTHORITARIAN REGIME IN POLAND. THEY WERE RELEASED AFTER QUESTIONING. MANY ATTACKS ON JEWS WERE REPORTED IN WARSAW PARKED IN WHICH SEVERAL WERE BEATEN.
ATTACKS ON JEWS OCCURRED IN THE MUNICIPAL PARK OF KIELCE. POLISH SOCIALISTS CAME TO THE JEWS’ ASSISTANCE AND SEVERAL PERSONS WERE INJURED IN ENSUING FIGHTS. TWO SOCIALISTS WERE ARRESTED.
FIRE OF UNASCERTAINED ORIGIN IN KIELCE DESTROYED TEN HOUSES AND LEFT 300 JEWS HOMELESS.
DISORDERS WERE REPORTED IN BROK, BIALYSTOK PROVINCE; NOWEHIASTO, WARSAW PROVINCE, AND CHELM, LUBLIN PROVINCE.
