The plan for the purchase of 500,000 dunams of land in Palestine, proposed last week by Dr. Abraham Granovsky, chairman of the World Jewish National Fund, at the convention of the Zionist Organization of America, was endersed this week, by the joint conference of the New England and Greater Boston Jewish National Fund, meeting here with 600 delegates in attendance.
The conference registered a strong protest against the continuance of the Land Transfer Regulations of 1940 and demanded their withdrawal. Resolutione expressing the delegates’ intention to continue their program to “make available extensive land areas” for resettlement by Jewish immigrants in Palestine and repudiating the Anglo-American inquiry commission were also adepted.
