The new Government letter on Palestine policy has at one stroke destroyed the confidence of the Arabs in the good faith of the Mandatory Power, the Arab organ “Al Hayat” declares in an article published to-day, in which it contrasts the letter very much to its disadvantage with the White Paper of last October.
Some Arabs are of the opinion, “Al Hayat” writes, that the Arab Executive, the Supreme Moslem Council, the Senior Arab officers of the Government, including the Arab judges, should all resign as a protest against the Government’s retreat from the policy laid down in the White Paper.
