A resolution spotlighting discrimination in the hotel and resort industry of New Hampshire and expressing support for a drive to pass civil rights legislation through the New Hampshire state legislature was unanimously adopted here this week-end at the annual convention of the state Federation of Labor.
The resolution pledged “active support of efforts to protect the civil rights of all our citizens in the fields of employment, public accommodations and education” and to fight for passage of an equal opportunities law. “to outlaw bias in this state.” The resolution was adopted after an address by Julius Bernstein, northeast regional director of the Jewish Labor Committee.
