The present Hebrew era in Jewish life in modern Palestine is producing a generation which will be superior to any other in the history of the Jewish people, declared Ludwig Lewisohu, author of “Up Stream”, returning today from a tour through the old Jewish colonies and the Chalutzim settlements maintained by the Keren Hayesod in the valley of Jesreel and in Galilee.
Lewisohn was deeply impressed with the earnestness of the Jewish men and women in all walks of life in Palestine and stated that without the work of the Palestine Foundation Fund, the transformation of the intellectual Chalutzim into peasants would be inconceivable.
