A program of entertainment for convalescent children in the Beth David Hospital, Lexington avenue and 113th street, has been inaugurated.
Convalescent children and those with minor ailments, will receive the attentions of “adoptive godmothers,” who will spend an hour with them each day, entertaining them and bringing them flowers, toys and books.
After the children leave the hospital they will be visited at their homes, where they will receive clothing, toys and books.
Assisting Mrs. Deutsch in yesterday’s inauguration were Miss Barbara Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Brown, and Miss Margaret Craven, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Craven.
The project is sponsored by the Beth David ladies’ auxiliary.
