Over 300 new immigrants from the Bat Yam immigrant work village today demonstrated outside the Jewish Agency offices here demanding the resumption of construction of wooden huts before the winter.
The immigrants pointed out that unless the wooden structures were erected they would have to spend the winter in tents. This is the latest in a series of protests on housing which have been directed at the Agency. Funds for immigrant housing have been diverted to development projects.
