The Richards kosher products bill was signed by Governor Moore and has become a law of the State of New Jersey.
The new statute, which is similar to the one in force in New York State, makes it a misdemeanor for a butcher or restauranteur to label or declare non-kosher products as kosher. The offense is punishable by twenty days in jail or a fine of $500.
