As part of its brotherhood campaign, New Brunswick Post 133, Jewish war veterans, has volunteered to replace non-Jewish workers who ordinarily would have to remain on their jobs Christmas Day, it was announced this week-end.
Harold Berman, chairman of the post, said: “There are no conditions attached to the offer and we shall accept no compensation. Our sole reward will be the knowledge that we have been able, in a small way, to express our gratitude of the splendid relationship that exists between the Jewish members of our community and our Christian neighbors.”
