The first issue of “Halapid” (Torch), a Jewish monthly magazine devoted “to the interests of Irish Jewry,” made its appearance here today.
In a statement of aims, the editors say that the magazine will endeavor to stimulate literary and artistic talent in the Jewish community. They also say that the magazine will not hesitate “to condemn any course of action unworthy of the glorious heritage which is ours or which tends to tarnish our good relations with the people among whom we live.”
