Cyril Stein, long active in Anglo-Jewish communal activity, has been elected chairman of the management committee of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency’s Daily News Bulletin published in London. He succeeds Michael Sacher who remains a member of the London committee and board of directors of the worldwide JTA. Stein, 50, plays a prominent role in the Joint Israel Appeal, of which he is a vice-chairman, and in the Jewish National Fund.
