The inaugural convention of the newly formed Liberal party will open here tomorrow night. Dr. Nahum Goldmann, who will be the main speaker at the convention, today joined Progressive and General Zionist leaders in signing a call to the Israeli public to join the new party.
The call, which was published in all morning papers, was signed by a large and impressive list of industrialists, bankers, professors of the Hebrew University and of the Technion, Israel’s top medical experts, writers, teachers and engineers.
The Zionist Actions Committee will open a four-day session here on Wednesday. It will elect a new Jewish Agency executive as instructed by the last World Zionist Congress. During the last Congress, the parties failed to reach agreement on the composition of the new executive.
