A new library for Brandeis University with a capacity for 750,000 volumes was dedicated here today at a formal academic convocation. The multi-million dollar library building is a gift to the University from the National Women’s Committee of Brandeis, whose 70,000 members in 104 chapters throughout the country, have undertaken to add 25,000 volumes each year to the University collection. The noted poet and author, Professor Archibald MacLeish of Harvard University delivered the convocation at ceremonies dedicating the new building.
