Four mass graves containing the remains of 600 Jewish men, women and children were discovered recently near Jassy, Rumanian authorities have announced.
Official investigations have established that one night in 1941 all the Jews of a neighboring village were rounded up and machine gunned by Rumanian soldiers. Some of the officials and army personnel responsible for the murders have been identified and arrested.
