The novel, “Mr. Emmanuel,” is by Louis Golding, the British Jewish author, and is published by Viking. “Wide and well-deserved popularity” is predicted for the book in a review by Charles Poore in the New York Times today. The essay, “A Christian Looks at the Jewish Question,” is by Jacques Maritain, a well-known Catholic philosopher. It is published by Longmans, Green.
