The membership of the new Palestine technical commission has been approved by the Colonial Office, it was authoritatively learned today, and the commissioners’ names will be announced very shortly.
The Colonial Office was understood to be discussing with the members the question of whether they should proceed immediately to Palestine or spend some time in London on a preliminary study of the Palestine problem. The Jewish Telegraphic Agency’s forecast that the new commission would include no member of the Peel Royal Commission was officially confirmed.
