An official representative of the United States government is scheduled to confer with German interests on the possibilities of improving the export situation of American agricultural products, particularly cotton, it was authoritatively learned here today.
The conference is expected to be held sometime during March in London, but may be held in Germany, it was indicated. The representative of the United States government is Oscar Johnston, special adviser to the Department of Agriculture on southern agriculture. Mr. Johnston has been authorized by President Roosevelt and Secretary of Agriculture Henry A, Wallace to visit various European countries for the purpose of surveying the possibilities of improving the export situation of tAmericanh agricultural commodities.
