A new pier for passenger vessels in the port of Haifa was opened here today at a ceremony attended by Minister of Communications Joseph Saphir and city officials.
The dock, nearly 600 feet long, is one unit of a 4,000,000 pound improvement project at the port. The pier was placed in use at the ceremony when the tourist liner Atlantic berthed at the dock.
