League of Nations protection for Jews and other minorities in Danzig may be abolished under a scheme of the British and Polish governments which the present session of the Council is scheduled to discuss.
The plan provides that a new League High Commissioner for the Free City will be appointed who will not have the right to intervene in Danzig’s internal affairs. Thus, his sole function will be to support Poland against Germany, while internally the Nazis will rule Danzig unhampered.
