Foreign relief shipments reaching this country for Jewish and other communities here have been placed under government control by a new decree issued today.
The decree, which guarantees freedom of religion and makes religious hatred a punishable offense, also stipulates that communities which are concerned purely with religious affairs are henceforth to be deprived of the right to maintain welfare institutions, hospitals, old-ago and childrens’ homes.
