A number of new settlements will be established in the administered territories next year according to Jacob Tsur, chairman of the Jewish National Fund. Addressing the inauguration meeting of the Women’s Circle of the United Israel Appeal in Israel, Tsur said that the final settlements to be reached would be influenced “by the facts we establish.” Several settlements, he said, will be established on the Golan Heights and the Mt. Hermon crest to protect northern Golan. New settlements will be established between Gaza and El Arish in the area known as Rafiah. According to Tsur, there will also be more settlements in Araba and a highway will be constructed to link Dead Sea settlements with Jerusalem bypassing Bethlehem.
