Opening ceremonies for the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Sheltering Society’s new home were held at the Chesed Shel Emeth Congregation. The organization was founded in 1907, and houses poor immigrants, besides offering shelter to other persons who are in need of relief. It is an affiliated constituent agency of the Jewish Federation.
