A new spectacular trial of a communist worker charged with anti-Semitic maltreatment of a fellow Jewish worker is to be held shortly in Bobruisk, White Russia. Stepan Zaruba, a member of the Transport Workers’ Union, fifty-eight years old, was arrested on the charge of torturing the Jewish transport worker, Abraham Stolpner. The secretary of the union, in Zhlobin, was dismissed from his post on a similar charge. A preliminary investigation by the district attorney, started at the initiative of the district committee of the Communist Party, disclosed that the Jewish worker was subjected to indignities under the threat of death.
