Plans for a carnival to be held March 23 were announced yesterday by the Young Folks League of Young Israel of Flatbush. Sid Levine is president. The carnival will climax the Purim festival.
A banquet inaugurating the celebration of the thirty-fifth anniversary of the First Botoschaner Sick Benevolent Association was addressed by Leo Wolfson, Herman Speier, Rabbi Chaim Porrille, Abraham Hirsch of Philadelphia, and Jacob Rosenthal. The association was founded in 1900 by Simon Kramer.
“Petersburg Nights,” a Russia film based on Dostoyevski’s novels, will be presented tonight at the Young Men’s Hebrew Association, Ninety-second street and Lexington avenue.
