New York City’s mayor toured the besieged Israeli town of Sderot last Friday. Michael Bloomberg, who was in Israel to dedicate an emergency rescue facility in Jerusalem in his father’s memory, expressed solidarity with the Negev town frequently targeted by Palestinian rockets from the nearby Gaza Strip, The Associated Press reported. Bloomberg then left for Jordan, where he was to meet with King Abdullah II.
