A New York City committee to cooperate with the Wider Scope Committee of the Independent Order of B’nai Brith was organized. Abram I. Elkus, is honorary chairman of the committee, Maurice P. Davidson, chairman of the Wider Scope Committee for District No. 1 of the I. O. B. B. presided at the meeting at which the committee was formed. Dr. Boris D. Bogen, secretary of the order, and James N. Rosenberg were among the speakers.
The members of the committee include: Clarence G. Bachrach, Maurice Bloch, Prof. A Broderick Cohen, Louis Fabricant, Charles Hartman, Joshua Kantrowitz, Samuel Kramer, Congressman Sol Bloom, Judge William Blau, Commissioner Louis I. Harris, Joseph Barondess, Congressman Emanuel Celler, Herman Asher, William H. Chorosh, Judge Gustave Hartman, Senator Philip M. Kleinfeld, Rabbi Nathan Krass, Judge Edward Lazansky, Judge Harry E. Lewis, Rabbi Samuel Schulman, Judge Alfred Frankenthaler, Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Joseph Rosenzweig, Benjamin C. Ribman, Judge Otto Rosalsky, and Judge Albert Cohn.
Louis Fabricant was elected treasurer, and Prof. A. Broderick Cohen secretary of the committee.
