The Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York announced this week-end that it expects to raise a record total of approximately $15,100, 000 in contributions and pledges before the end of its fiscal year on September 30. Although this amount will total $600, 000 more than that raised in last year’s campaign, the campaign proceeds are expected to fall $1, 000, 000 short of the allotments made to its member institutions.
This was announced by Milton Weill, retiring president of the Federation, in his report at the Federation’s annual meeting. Mr. Weill completes his third one-year term on April 12.
