New York Jewish Student Wins England’s Most Notable Literary Award

David Louis Posner, of New York, has won the Sir Roger Newdigate Prize for English verse, one of England’s most notable literary awards, it was revealed here today. The prize has been awarded to an Oxford University undergraduate annually for the last 150 years. Previous winners include such English literary figures as Matthew Arnold, Oscar Wilde, John Ruskin and Julian Huxley.
