Jacob Fishman, Managing Editor of the “Jewish Daily Morning Journal” of New York, was feted today by the Hebrew journalists at a tea given in his honor. Many visitors and government officials participated. Greetings were extended to him on behalf of the Zionist Executive, the Jewish National Fund, the Kehillah and the journalists group. Mr. Fishman was praised as a brilliant journalist and a devoted Zionist.

In reply, Mr. Fishman spoke in English and in Hebrew, touching upon the state of affairs in Jewish journalism in New York, and the activities of the Zionist Organization in the United States. He declared that he was charmed with everything that he had seen in Palestine.

Mr. Fishman was also received by Sir Herbert Samuel, the British High Commissioner, who denied to him the recently circulated reports that he intends to resign. “There are no difficulties between myself and the Colonial Office in London,” declared the High Commissioner.
