New York Lawyers to Ask Bar Association to Ban Race Questions on Application Forms

The American Bar Association will be asked by the New York County Lawyers Association to ban all questions concerning race from its membership application blanks, it was announced here today. It was pointed out that the A.B.A. eliminated restrictions against minorities some years ago, but that its application form still requires answers to racial questions.
